Moss Lycan

A wolf-like canine that appeared much more ferocious than it actually was. Moss lycans appeared nearly identical to common wolves, wearing thick grey fur with black tufts along their back and tails. Their distinguishing feature was their mouth--moss lycans had no lower jaw, only a long upper jaw complete with a set of long, pointy teeth. These creatures were foragers, using their teeth like trawls to dig up mushrooms, tubers, and lichen. Moss Lycans then used a long tongue to lick up the dug up morsels for consumption.

Moss lycans would act aggressive to defend territory, making growling noises to try and intimidate opponents. However, they were quite cowardly and would run at the first sign of physical conflict.
